This product type is suitable for applications where EMI shielding is necessary.

Lengths of profiles up to 10m.

The material does not recover its shape very well after use, so these seals are better suited for permanent solutions.

Oriented Wire is a flat silicone sheet material consisting of a silicone rubber (either homogeneous or cellular), embedded with Monel or aluminium metal wires oriented perpendicular to its surface.

Excellent shielding performance is achieved as well as a high level of weather and wind resistance when secured between two metal surfaces. 

The wires are crimped to facilitate compression and are chemically bonded to ensure they remain in the silicone or fluorosilicone carrier. They will also penetrate most light oxide layers, ensuring a low contact resistance path when suitably compacted.

Punched gaskets and strips can be supplied from this type of material, with or without self-adhesive tape.

Conductive colloids are metal loaded resin-based materials that are spray applied. The metal is the reflective or absorbent barrier against RFI and EMI and normally takes the form of layers of metal particles or granules.
